Connex Donates Over 600 Items to Family Centered Services
Connex is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual Holiday Give initiative, donating more than 600 toys and essential items to Family Centered Services of CT. In addition, Connex made an in-kind monetary donation of $1,500 to further support Family Centered Services of CT’s programs, which target specific issues such as neighborhood crime, partner violence, substance abuse, and more.
Family Centered Services offers immediate intervention and support while acting as the launch pad to help build a healthier, happier future for families facing neglect, abuse, and domestic violence. No child or family should go without the support they need because of circumstances beyond their control. From mid-November through December 12, donation boxes were placed in Connex branch lobbies and back-office locations. Members and employees generously contributed a wide range of items from baby care essentials and children’s toys to gifts for adolescents, as well as personal hygiene and household necessities. These contributions will directly benefit the families and children served by Family Centered Services of CT, helping to ensure they have the support and resources needed to experience a joyful and meaningful holiday season.
“The gifts that we’ve received through Connex’s Holiday Give are really wonderful”, said Jacquelyn Farrell, Executive Director, Family Centered Services. “Most of our families wouldn’t have a Christmas or a holiday without the help of organizations like Connex. We are so very grateful for everything they have done for us.”
Connex is proud to support organizations that provide critical services to families impacted by abuse, domestic violence, and neglect. By standing with these partners, we help ensure that children in crisis receive the safety, care, and support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.
