Beth Mazza Steps into CEO Role at Hartford Federal Credit Union

Hartford Federal Credit Union (HFCU) announced that Beth Mazza has assumed the role of President & Chief Executive Officer, effective March 14, 2026, following the retirement of longtime CEO Ed Danek, who led the Credit Union for 36 years.
Mazza brings more than 20 years of experience in the credit union industry and a deep commitment to the communities HFCU serves. Since joining the organization in 2020, she has played an integral role in strengthening operations, supporting employees, and enhancing the member experience through personalized, relationship-based service.
“It’s a privilege to take on this role,” said Mazza. “With a strong foundation already in place, I’m excited to lead our next chapter—focused on growth, innovation, and delivering even greater value to our members and communities.”
Hartford Federal Credit Union remains focused on delivering value, service, and financial guidance to its members while continuing to grow and evolve to meet the needs of the communities it serves.
