Introducing the Momentum Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Momentum Awards, Connecticut’s Credit Unions’ refreshed awards program celebrating the people, credit unions, campaigns, and member stories that are pushing the Connecticut credit union movement forward.
Each year, Connecticut’s Credit Unions is proud to recognize outstanding accomplishments by credit union management, staff, volunteers, and credit unions that are making a meaningful difference for their members, communities, and the broader credit union movement.
All member-credit unions are eligible and encouraged to submit nominations. There is no fee to enter.
This year’s awards include:
- Outstanding Credit Union Executive Award
- Emerging Credit Union Leadership Award
- Credit Union Volunteer Leadership Award
- Member Impact Award
- Marketing Excellence Awards
Winners will be honored during a special ceremony at APEX 2026.
New for 2026, the Member Impact Award celebrates a specific member, family, or household story that demonstrates how a credit union measurably improved members’ financial lives. This could include savings outcomes, debt reduction, credit score improvement, access to small-dollar credit, first-time homeownership, financial counseling, underserved-community work, or another powerful example of People Helping People.
Our Marketing Excellence Awards have been reimagined with broader, more modern categories designed to capture the many ways credit unions communicate, grow, serve, and tell their stories. Categories include Growth & Acquisition Marketing, Brand, Awareness & Storytelling, Community Impact & Cooperative Values, Digital Experience & Innovation, and Wild Card.
The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, August 31.
We also invite credit union professionals to help support the program by serving as judges. If you are interested in being considered as a judge, please contact Katherine D’Orvilliers.
The Connecticut’s Credit Unions Momentum Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the leadership, innovation, service, and impact happening every day across credit unions in our state.
