Sacred Heart University and Sikorsky Credit Union Announce Multi-Year Naming Rights Agreement

Published on July 17, 2026

One of Sacred Heart University's most visible athletic venues will soon bear the name Sikorsky Credit Union Field, reflecting a multi-year naming rights agreement between the University and the Fairfield County-based financial institution.

Campus Field, the sports facility that sits at the top of the Park Avenue Campus, will now be known as Sikorsky Credit Union Field. SHU football, men’s and women’s lacrosse teams and various club sports compete and practice on the beautiful, recently updated field. The partnership supports Sacred Heart’s continued investment in its more than 1,100 student-athletes across 38 varsity programs, and reinforces a shared commitment to student success, community engagement, and regional investment.

The naming comes at a pivotal moment for Sacred Heart. Beginning in August, SHU’s football team will compete in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), elevating the University’s visibility on a national stage and marking a new chapter for Pioneer football. Sacred Heart is one of only two programs in the 13-member CAA with naming rights for its football field.

“Our athletic field has been a gathering place for students, alumni, and fans for decades,” said John J. Petillo, president of SHU. “The agreement with Sikorsky Credit Union represents an investment not only in our athletic programs, but also in the holistic development of our students and the strength of our surrounding community. We are proud to align with an organization that shares our mission and values.”

Petillo added that the partnership supports the continued evolution of SHU athletics, which has included significant investments in facilities, conference realignment, and the student-athlete experience.

Beyond athletics, the agreement will support financial literacy initiatives and banking solutions designed to benefit students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

“This represents far more than a naming rights agreement,” said Judy Ann Riccio, executive director of athletics at SHU. “We are proud to align with an organization that shares our commitment to education, service, and community impact. Sikorsky Credit Union has been a trusted community partner throughout the region for generations, and we are excited about what we can accomplish together.”

For Sikorsky Credit Union, the partnership represents a strategic investment in visibility and community engagement through one of the region’s fastest-growing universities. It reinforces the credit union’s longstanding commitment to supporting local institutions while creating new opportunities across the region.

“The naming of Sikorsky Credit Union Field represents far more than a sponsorship; it symbolizes a shared commitment to the students, families, and communities that define our region,” said Vinny Ciambriello, president of Sikorsky Credit Union and a two-time SHU alumnus. “Sacred Heart University and Sikorsky Credit Union both believe in investing in people and creating opportunities for growth. We're proud to be part of this exciting chapter and look forward to the lasting impact we'll make together.”

RevUp Property Representation facilitated the agreement, working with Sacred Heart and Sikorsky Credit Union to align their shared commitment to education, community engagement, and regional impact. RevUp collaborated with leaders from both organizations to develop a partnership that delivers value for both institutions.
